Medical coaching is process-based and starts from where you are right now. The four phases below offer guidance, but they’re not set in stone. We move with what this moment asks of you – often the phases overlap, and we stay longer with whatever you need at that point.

First Anchor

When everything suddenly feels shaky, you don’t have to carry it alone.

In this first phase, we create calm in the aftermath of the medical blow. We pause to look at what has happened, where you are now, and what you need to be able to breathe again.

From surviving to living

Here, you explore what it costs you to just keep pushing through. You learn to take your body’s signals seriously, to feel and express your boundaries, so that you don’t just function, but truly start living again.

Leading with calm

Je wilt je rol goed blijven vervullen, zonder jezelf kwijt te raken.
In this phase, you take a fresh look at the way you lead. We explore responsibilities, pace and expectations – so you can stand firm, with more calm and kindness towards yourself.

Lasting control

This is where everything comes together.
You anchor what you’ve learned in your daily life and work. We build routines and safeguards, so you don’t slip back into old survival modes and can move forward with a clear inner compass – on your own terms.

Tailored Calm & Control in Leadership

The Calm & Control in Leadership programme has a clear foundation, but its shape is always tailored to you. The four phases offer structure, but we adjust the route, pace and emphasis to where you are right now – sometimes the focus is more on recovery and stability, sometimes on work, leadership and returning to your role.

You can join as a private client. Often an employer or organisation will be involved and cover (part of) the investment. If you’d like to refer someone for coaching through work or reintegration, I create a bespoke arrangement that fits both the person and their context.

Choose the coaching programme that fits you

There is a clear foundation, but no standard route. Based on the intake, we adjust the length, frequency and focus to your situation, health and role as a leader.
Together, we decide how to use the four phases of the programme in a way that matches your capacity and your questions.

Coaching is not a quick fix, but a thoughtful process. We build clarity, resilience and direction – with space for who you are, what you’ve been through, and what your life and work are asking of you right now. You don’t have to do it alone.

Your investment

Many leaders follow this programme with financial support from their employer or organisation. In that case, I create a tailored proposal and quotation that match the question, the length of the programme and the organisational context.

Calm & Control in Leadership

6 months of intensive support during or after illness or another major life event

As an executive, manager or entrepreneur, you carry a lot of responsibility. A medical event, diagnosis, loss or other personal crisis can turn your whole foundation upside down. On the outside you keep going, but inside there may be unrest, exhaustion, doubt or fear.

In Calm & Control in Leadership I work intensively with you for six months. We focus on restoring inner calm, clarity and sustainable decisiveness, so you can lead, decide and live in a way that fits who you are – and what your body can handle.

What we work on:

  • Bringing calm to your system: less agitation, panic and overthinking
  • Taking back control: you back in the driver’s seat, instead of the illness or crisis
  • Making clear choices – privately, medically and in your role as a leader
  • Finding a way of working that doesn’t drain your health, so your body doesn’t pay the price 

How we work and what the programme looks like
We work together intensively for around six months. As a guideline, we plan 15–16 sessions of 1.5 to 2 hours. To keep it practical and avoid unnecessary time and energy loss, we work online as much as possible.

Within this clear structure, the programme is always tailored to you: we align pace, focus and methods with your situation, energy level and role. If you need more support in certain phases, we schedule extra sessions within this period – at no additional cost. You don’t pay per session, but for a six-month support relationship.

Why this approach works

A medical or other crisis often brings to the surface what has been simmering underneath for a long time: old patterns, unresolved experiences, relational tensions. If we ignore these, your system stays on high alert – no matter how well you understand things rationally.

We work on a mental, emotional, physical, relational and spiritual level, and I work somatically: your body is actively involved in the process. By gradually releasing tension and unresolved issues in your system, your nervous system can settle and your natural capacity for recovery gets more space. You’ll notice this in more inner calm, greater resilience, and clearer choices and decisions.

Rust & Regie in Leiderschap is een maatwerktraject van 6 maanden. De investering is afhankelijk van jouw vraagstukken, verantwoordelijkheden en de intensiteit van de begeleiding die nodig is.
In ons kennismakingsgesprek onderzoeken we samen wat er voor jou nodig is. Op basis daarvan ontvang je een voorstel op maat, met een heldere offerte waarin alle sessies en tussentijdse ondersteuning zijn opgenomen.
In veel gevallen betaalt een werkgever (deels) mee; ik denk graag met je mee over hoe je dit intern kunt bespreken.
